"Part of the Red and Gold Series, this piece is inspired by my music video 'Clarity.' Though I’ve never been on the battlefield myself, I have family and loved ones who have. There are days when you don’t know if you’re going to make it, and I wanted to capture that fear in this soldier’s eyes. Creating this piece while listening to a new Smashing Pumpkins song brought a raw, destructive energy into the process. The pure red background symbolizes rage and fear, reflecting the terrifying uncertainty of not knowing if you’ll survive another day. This painting is both a celebration and a documentation of those moments."
