Artist Ugly Pie shares:

"Part of the Red and Gold Series, this piece was inspired by my music video 'Clarity.' Ugly Pie started back in 2014 when I was painting in bars like the Matador. Great friends, great memories, but behind all that, there was a feeling of being dead inside. At the time, I was sweeping popcorn after going to school for film, and it just wasn’t aligning with what I wanted to create. This skeleton became a recurring image in my work, representing those feelings of insecurity and emptiness. These pieces are often surreal, unplanned, and reflect photographic memories of the things I’ve lived through. They capture a time when I felt like a skeleton inside, searching for life."
