Blue Rain Gallery Presents its Annual Miniature Show and the Guadalupe Project A Benefit for Red Willow Hospice

SANTA FE, N.M. [July 5, 2024] — Blue Rain Gallery will present its second annual Miniature Show November 29 through December 14.

The Miniature Show will include works by gallery artists with a size and price for new and experienced collectors who may have limited budgets or wall space. It is the perfect opportunity to begin to acquire works by well-known and established artists working in different genre, to fill in gaps in a collection or an empty spot on a wall. Since it is the holiday season, the exhibition is a convenient opportunity to acquire an original work of art for a gift- one that will be cherished for many years.

Works from 6 x 6” to 16 x 16” embody the same creative imagination and skill the artists are known for in their larger works. Among the gallery artists in the Miniature Show are Roseta Santiago, Robin Jones and Erin Currier.

Complementing the Miniature Show is The Guadalupe Project, an exhibition curated by Santiago. She has invited 25 artists to produce works inspired by the themes of compassion, healing and love associated with Our Lady of Guadalupe. There will also be a silent auction on November 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. Auction items include original works of art, a session with a tattoo artist and a collaborative photo shoot and portrait session with photographer David Rulon and Santiago. The collaboration is intended to allow the collector to experience the artist’s creative process.

“Guadalupe Projects is an ongoing program of art helping people,” Santiago explains. “This year, Blue Rain Gallery will donate a percentage of sales to Red Willow Hospice in Taos and Santa Fe.” The vision of Red Willow Hospice is “to set the standard for hospice and palliative care of the future.” It aspires “to create a world where empowering the whole person through holistic, integrative, innovative, life-affirming care is not just a possibility but a fundamental right for all.”
