Art with Heart: The Guadalupe Project and Annual Miniature Show at Blue Rain Gallery

November 20th, 2024

Blue Rain Gallery is thrilled to host two extraordinary events this season, combining the power of art with the spirit of giving: The Guadalupe Project and the Annual Miniature Show. These events highlight the gallery’s dedication to fostering creativity and community while supporting a vital cause.

The Guadalupe Project

Curated by the renowned Roseta Santiago, The Guadalupe Project draws inspiration from the enduring symbol of love, compassion, and healing—Our Lady of Guadalupe. The exhibition brings together a diverse group of talented artists whose works reflect themes of faith, hope, and cultural heritage. Adding a layer of excitement, the project features a silent auction showcasing unique creations and curated experiences, offering art lovers a chance to own something truly special.

With a special homage to both Our Lady of Guadalupe and Frida Kahlo, this event promises to be as inspiring as it is impactful. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Red Willow Hospice, a nonprofit dedicated to providing integrative, holistic care for individuals and families at the end of life.

“Guadalupe Projects is a program of art helping people,” says curator Roseta Santiago. “This year, Blue Rain Gallery is honored to contribute to Red Willow Hospice’s vision of setting the standard for life-affirming hospice and palliative care.”

Contributors to the Guadalupe Project include Alec Rose Rael, Angela Swedberg, Anna Walsh (Photography), Ben Wright, Bianka Apodaka, Blue Rain Print Shop, Bob & Becky Vonderau (Lyle Wright – Taos Pueblo Silversmith), Bob Polli, Carlo Martinez, Chase Tafoya / Roseta Santiago, Cynthia Pinot (CynPinot), Daniel Birdhead Remenga, Denise De Leo, Doc Alex Matus, Dominick Lepore, Jane Polli, Joseph Kayne (Photography), Les Ochs, McCreery Jordan, Michael Snodgrass, Nathan Mellott, Pablo Villacaña-Lara, Phil Velasquez, Rio Bravo Trading Co, Robert Stivers, Roseta Santiago, Sonny Delacruz, and Taos and Tribe.

The Annual Miniature Show

Small in scale but monumental in artistry, the Annual Miniature Show is a beloved tradition at Blue Rain Gallery. This showcase highlights the creativity and skill of artists working in miniature formats, creating stunning pieces that captivate collectors and first-time art buyers alike. Each piece carries the artist's signature style, proving that size is no measure of impact.

Like The Guadalupe Project, a portion of proceeds from this exhibition will also support Red Willow Hospice. Together, these events reflect Blue Rain Gallery's mission to uplift the community through art and compassion.

Participating artists include, Nathan Bennett, Martin Blundell, Karen Clarkson, Erin Currier, Starr Hardridge, Tony De Luz, Robin Jones, Jesse Littlebird, Eunika Rogers, Eric Romero, Roseta Santiago, Kathryn Stedham, Helen K. Tindel, and Rimi Yang.
