"Part of the Red and Gold Series, inspired by my music video 'Clarity,' this piece takes me back to the days in Taos Pueblo when it was hard to start a rock band. Everyone around me was focused on hip-hop, and it felt like the guitar was becoming an outdated instrument — something for the old grandpas. Growing up, I watched my uncles and cousins play guitar, and I dreamed of bringing rock 'n' roll to the Native community in a healthier way. So many stories paint rock ‘n’ roll with drugs and alcohol, but I wanted to create a different vision — one without any of that. A world where the music can speak for itself and inspire people in a positive way."
