Ray Tigerman is a multidisciplinary artist who creates at the intersection of figurative, abstractionism, and storytelling. His work is unmistakably unique, with iconic subjects and layers of bold, vibrant colors deftly “sculpted” on canvas using only a palette knife and a vivid imagination.
“I attempt to capture my subjects at their apex; I want them to vibrate off the canvas; I want them to radiate a positivity and energy that the collector feels each time thy engage with the artwork.”
Raised in the vast openness of Nevada, Ray is irresistibly drawn to the Southwest, with its understated beauty, kaleidoscope of colors, and the rich culture of its indigenous people.
“I was blessed to have grown up in the shadows of the High Sierra Mountains and just across the road from the Washoe Tribe Reservation. This fusion of culture and rugged landscape has laid the groundwork for the man and artist I am today. I’m passionately devoted to sharing the beautiful stories of this land and creating human experiences and meaningful connections through gifts of creativity.”
