Two Ravens

This piece connects Norse mythology with Tlingit form. It represents my family. From the top is my wife Åsa Sandlund from Sweden, below her is Odin flanked by two Ravens, which is consistent with Nordic mythology. Then is my daughter’s face and son sitting by our cockapoo dog represented as a wolf. I designed this piece and it was carved by David Svenson, one of my first mentors. It was cast in lead crystal in the Czech Republic by Tomas Flanderka’s studio in 2022.
