In this chapter of the Banana Republic of Raven, the trickster stumbles upon a floating fish farm where humans unveil their latest invention: King Raven Brand Enhanced Salmon-Flavored Food Product TM. Bearing Raven’s own crowned likeness, the product promises endless abundance—yet delivers only hollow, flavorless imitation. At once flattered and horrified, Raven tastes the falseness of this “progress” and questions what it means to be crowned king of an empire built on artifice. Is sovereignty found in branding, or in the living rivers that once nourished the world?
