Nedilynn Brown

Nedilynn is a printmaker and aspiring painter whose work is deeply influenced by her reflections on identity as a Navajo woman. Through her art, she seeks to explore the intricate connections she shares with nature, culture, and, most importantly, herself. 

Raised on the Navajo Nation, Nedilynn was taught to respect and honor the land and to uphold the moral values of the Diné. These teachings have shaped both her life and her artistic practice, grounding her work in the traditions and values she has embraced for as long as she can remember. 

Her creative process is instinctual, guided by her thoughts and emotions in the moment. Each piece begins organically, evolving as she interacts with her materials—whether paint, ink, or wood. Inspired not only by her people but also by a lineage of artisans within her own family, she is driven by a desire to keep that tradition alive. Through her work, she aspires to evoke a sense of place, the weight of memory, and the profound connection to homeland for her audience. 

Nedilynn’s art translates her evolving relationship with her identity into experiences that resonate deeply with viewers.
