Mariah Kaminsky

Mariah Kaminsky’s paintings and murals are defined by warmth, joy, and a celebration of life. Raised in northern Indiana in a creative family, her artistic instincts were nurtured from an early age, influenced by a lineage of craftsmanship and creativity. After earning a degree in Design and Technical Theater from Ball State University, she worked as a scenic artist before selling in Durango, CO, where she co-founded Durango Custom Works in 2001. Her public murals transform walls into immersive, narrative-driven experiences, blending her scenic art background with a passion for storytelling. 

In 2010, Mariah Kaminsky Fine Art launched her fine art practice focusing on realism, specializing in portraits, floral trompe l’oeil, and the female form. A member of the Portrait Society of America, her work reflects optimism, resilience, and humor, bridging classical and contemporary styles to invite viewers into a world of beauty and positivity. She lives in Pleasant View, CO with her husband and dog, finding inspiration in hiking, camping, and travel.
