Crescendo

Across three large bronze panels enhanced with mixed patinas, Tammy Garcia's Crescendo presents an elaborate scene featuring dancers and drummers adorned in ceremonial dress. In the leftmost panel, two adults playing tall log drums are joined by a child grasping a gourd rattle, all three dressed in blue-hued shirts. The middle and rightmost panels both depict similar pairs of dancers: a woman with a large geometric headdress and a man who also holds a rattle.  All dancers are poised mid-step, imbuing the complex composition with a sense of motion and liveliness. The ground beneath the figures is adorned with bold motifs and stylized sagebrush, grounding the intricate scene, while the backdrop features a gradient of brushed bronze that transitions from pale gold to a dramatic rust-red blush at the top of the panels.
