A vibrant landscape and a stoic being meet in Hardridge's "Thunder Head."
A bison stands still with his gray facial hairs grazed to the left side of his face. The remainder of his body is hugged by a reddish-brown colored fur, and he is outlined by a bright red hue. His eyes are fixed in a downward position, staring at the yellow ground beneath him. Two small bushels of chamisa are fastened beside the bison, indicating he is in a desert landscape.
Behind him is an array of pastel-colored clouds and an orange and blue colored mountain range.
