People of the Forest

Preston Singletary's "People of the Forest" is a striking glass sculpture inspired by Tlingit form-line design. 

The piece features a humanoid figure with a bold, smiling face and sharp teeth, its expressive head holds subtle animalistic ears. The body, rendered in earthy tones of reddish-brown and matte bronze, displays intricate engraved patterns depicting stylized figures and abstract forms, evoking the interconnectedness of humans and nature. 

This artwork celebrates Tlingit cultural heritage, blending traditional motifs with the modern medium of glass.
