Clouds reflect off of the glossy black paint on a Harley-Davidson’s fuel tank. Underneath the tank, pushrods extend in a distinct v-shape, with the base positioned on top of the generator cover. The pushrods to the left extend behind the air filter cover, where we see our artist in view, photographing the now scarce engine.
Oil lines route themselves by looping and curving amongst the engine. The bell-shaped distributor is fastened to the top right of the generator and is planted to the left of the bike’s frame.
This meticulously crafted graphite drawing is of a knucklehead motor, produced by Harley-Davidson from 1936 to 1947.
