Leo (formerly Lacey) Baker b. November 24, 1991

Covina, California born daughter of accomplished punk guitarist Marshall Rohner (The CruzadosT.S.O.L., and Dino's Revenge), goofy-footed Lacey Baker is widely considered to be one of the best skaters in the world, and a pioneer for women skaters. Referred to by Rolling Stone as “the Rebel Queen of Skateboarding”, she was given her first board, with which she skated her first half pipe, at age two, and has been skating incessantly ever since.  A seven-time SKB Street medalist, she skates for Meow Skateboards, and is the first woman and first person to identify as queer to have been picked up by the coveted Nike SB Team.

Now known as Leo, and using the gender pronouns they/them, Baker was recently named to the first US Skateboarding Team; and continues to break through boundaries: a hero among aspiring girl skaters everywhere, an icon within the LGBTQ community, and respected by athletes of all ilk worldwide. “I feel like what she’s doing right now is so pivotal,” says fellow skater champion Vanessa Torres. “The fact that she has an image and she’s using it in such a positive way is extremely important.”
