Sovereign 3

Inspired by Douglas Miles (Apache Skateboards) and his “You’re skating on Native Land” campaign. Skateboarding is more than a sport, it has the power to transform lives and communities.  It allows for free personal expression, teaches discipline, moves at the pace of the individual and brings a sense sovereignty to the individual and the community.  Therefore skating becomes ceremony; when the sovereign actor becomes lost in prayer while their actions act as a sacrifice for the local and human community.
