Insects, including bumble bees, are facing extinction at a rate 8 times faster than that of mammals. With declining health and population of these essential pollinators, we face a significant threat to the integrity of biodiversity, to global food webs, and to human health. It is estimated that one out of every three bites of our food is the result of the work of animal pollinators.
