Larry Vazquez's passion for his art and his recognition that stones have a spiritual energy awaiting release are inherent in an approach to creativity that draws upon intense respect for Mescalero Apache blood in his veins.

His is a world of color, story, music, and awareness of participation in a beautiful and extraordinary universe. "In the past year, more than ever before," he says, "I am listening... and in my studio, I hear the hum of stones talking. They talk to me and I talk to them. Each stone is a being. Stones don't lie. Stones have been a witness for a long time. They do only one thing: collect information. I allow that information to speak itself into form."
