This work was inspired by my daughter’s first Yei Bei Chai dance ever. The masks of the female dancers are colored to represent the four seasons. White is spring, blue is summer, yellow is fall, and red is winter. The female dancers are called to dance when the winter constellation appear as demonstrated by the stars in their eyes.
