The concept and composition of "Rest for the Weary" came from Jim Vogel's son, Grayson Vogel: two figures resting from their hard work; a farmer harvesting apples and Dona Sebastiana harvesting souls. This painting will be available for purchase on Friday, July 25th at 10am.

This painting is so New Mexican, in that la jente know that as we live, close by are our loved ones are at rest and that some day we will join them. Not a terrible thing but knowledge that gives us peace. As usual Jim has hit it right on the head.
