Santa Marta is the sister of Mary (of Bethany) and Lazarus. The Gospel of John portrays her as being “busy about much serving”. In some traditions it is believed that she served Christ and the disciples at the Last Supper. Marta is the patron saint of cooks, homemakers, innkeepers, servants and travelers, to name a few.

Gilbert Archuleta says...

My highlight of Spanish Market was the Friday reception at Blue Rain Gallary in Santa Fe. Being able to view the works of Gustavo Goler, and Jim Vogel. I feel that the Retablo and Bulto works of Victor are second to none. Sorry to hear that the Taos Gallery was closed but the future is only bright for the folks at Blue Gallery. Looking forward to Spanish Market 2009 !
