This is a sculpture inspired by the Taos Pueblo. The chair form functions as the story and the storyteller simultaneously. It is made up of images commonly seen at Taos Pueblo on Christmas Eve when the entire community is invited to participate in the festivities, part of which includes the presentation of the Virgin Mary and the matachine dancers. The Matachine dancers, with their "miter" hats, referring to the Catholic Church, dance around the bonfires on the pueblo. San Geronimo Church is seen at the top of the chair.
