A graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts, he entered the Colorado University Museum Internship Program, and graduated from Colorado University with a B.F.A in sculpture. His immense talent is evidenced by 13 straight Best of Shows and 1st place Awards from such prestigious exhibits as the Scottsdale National Indian Artists Exhibit, Gallup Intertribal Exhibition, Santa Fe Indian Market, and the Heard Museum Guild Indian Artists Exhibition. In 1977 he was named recipient of the Grand Award at the Philbrook Art Center - the first sculptor to take a Grand Award in the 33 year old history of this distinquished show.
